Emerson Ava’s Library {Part 1} Books we Love!
Before sweet Emmy Ava was born I spent countless hours in the nursery nesting. I imagined what kind of mother I would be, what kind of baby she would be and what our life together would be like. I thought about her fresh little mind that would be open, inquisitive and moldable. I also thought about what kind of rituals we would create as a family. I dreamt of reading books together before bed, getting lost in stories when she became old enough, learning about life and taking adventures on and off the page.
Before I knew what kind of nursery decor we would be inspired by, I knew I wanted to make a mini Library the focal point. This Babyletto Tree bookshelf was one of my first purchases and to this day remains one of my favorite pieces of furniture in the apartment.
For our Baby Celebration we asked that guests bring books for baby instead of a card and write well wishes in there. So E’s library started growing well before she arrived. One of the last activities Karl and I did while waiting for Emmy Ava to join us was visiting Books of Wonder in NYC, the largest independent bookstore in the city. It was so much fun and we took home a huge bounty!
Anyway, I thought it would be fun to share with you some of our favorite books from time to time and hear about your favorites too. Let me know if your little one loves any of these. Tweet me @DeeLynn or follow along on InstaStories @DeeLynn78 as I share a lot of our days in realtime.

One of my favorites form childhood, a beautiful story with a morale of lifting up everyone around you.
